I am a 25-year-old man and wanted to ask what precautions one should take while sex to avoid infections (oral sex/ normal sex). What tests one should do before the sex to make sure a person is free of any STIs, STDs.

Precautions for penetrative sex include condoms (prevents pregnancy & infections) or other contraceptives (OCP, diaphragm, IUDs etc.- prevent pregnancy only). You can make oral sex safer by using dental dams or condoms. There are different tests for different STIs- most lab & test providers curate “STI panel” tests containing the various relevant tests in one package. If you’re confused about the tests, speak to your doctor. Also note, HPV is a common STI which has a preventive vaccine as well.

I don’t feel any pleasure during intercourse- I just feel pain. What to do?

Please note that pain during sex is undesirable & can cause you to not enjoy the act. There could be many reasons for pain during intercourse like inadequate natural lubrication or other physical/psychological conditions. Experimenting with foreplay (stimulation through touch, oral sex, etc.) could help with arousal leading to natural lubrication.
