Harassing communication: Ellison Road
A man reported June 7 that an ex-girlfriend would not stop texting him and threatened to tell his wife that he has a sexually transmitted disease.
He said he had paid her money to leave him alone and not tell his wife of their past relationship.
Officers contacted the woman, who said the man never told her to stop contacting him. They advised her to have no further communication with him and gave her a trespass warning from the man’s home and place of work.
Disorderly conduct: Wrenford Road
Two Cleveland women, 22 and 25, were cited for disorderly conduct June 7 with for their involvement in a fight at Bexley Park.
Stolen vehicle: Harwood Road
A resident reported June 8 that her vehicle had been stolen from her driveway overnight.
She said there was a spare key inside the center console.
There were no witnesses to the theft nor any home surveillance cameras that captured it.
Unauthorized use of vehicle: South Belvoir Boulevard
A woman said June 8 that she had lent her vehicle to her child’s father several days ago and he was refusing to return it.
She said the Cleveland man, 34, wanted information about her new boyfriend in exchange for the vehicle.
The incident is under investigation with potential charges pending.
Counterfeiting: Mayfield Road
A man tried to purchase a Visa gift card at Giant Eagle June 8 by paying with two counterfeit $100 bills.
The suspect ran from the store without the gift card or bills when the cashier checked to see if they were real.
Theft: Cedar Road
A man reported June 9 that his wallet was stolen from a locker room at Planet Fitness, and he had received a notification that a debit card from it was used unsuccessfully for a purchase at a gas station in Warrensville Heights.
Police are investigating.
Disturbance: South Green Road
A man received a head injury while trying to break up a fight between two women at the Legacy 5 Lounge around 2 a.m. June 10.
Officers learned another man struck him during the fight causing him to fall and hit his head.
He was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment and no suspects were identified.
Criminal trespass: Wrenford Road
A guard at Bexley Park reported June 10 that there were teenagers smoking in a playground designated for children up to 12 years of age.
Responding officers noticed a boy, 14, who had previously been banned from the park. He immediately dropped his bike and ran and was not located.
Trespassing charges have been recommended in juvenile court.
Identity fraud: Argonne Road
A resident said June 13 that someone tried to use her home address to fraudulently obtain a pool pass with the city.
The woman was also a city employee and had been alerted to the fraud by a co-worker.
She only wanted the incident documented.
Drug possession: South Belvoir Boulevard
A large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was seized during a traffic stop June 13.
The driver, an 18-year-old Cleveland man, admitted to ownership of the items and was cited. Two 17-year-old female passengers were released to a guardian.
The vehicle had been stopped for having two different license plates and for a dragging rear bumper.
Open container: Clinton Avenue
A resident reported at 9:45 p.m. June 13 that a suspicious vehicle in the roadway may be occupied by a stalker.
Responding officers did not identify the occupant as a stalker, but located an open bottle of tequila, marijuana, and packs of edible THC gummies.
The man was cited for open container and drug abuse.
Stolen vehicle: Warrensville Center Road
A woman reported at 10:25 p.m. June 14 that her vehicle was stolen from the Walmart parking lot without its keys.
The incident is being investigated.
