Jamshedpur, Feb 2: JUSCO School, Kadma organised 17th annual English Elocution contest for students of LKG to Std VIII on Wednesday.
The theme for the contest was ‘Seasons’. The children performed with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Ritu Virdi from JH Tarapore School and Suparna Roy from DBMS, Kadma High School were the judges.
They encouraged and congratulated the students on their oratory skills, their confidence and memory power.
The oratory skills displayed by the participants were of the highest order. The contestants were very well prepared and their flawless rendition signified perfect diction, intonation and expression.
The proud parents of the contestants also graced the occasion. Principal Jhumjhumi Nandi, congratulated students and teachers for putting up a great show. Class Ukg A was decalred the winner in choral recitation for Lkg and Ukg. Runner up was Lkg C. In Std I and II the winner was Std II B and runner up was Std I B. Std III C was the winner and Std IV B was the runner up. Std VI C was the winner and Std V A was the runner-up. In category class VII and VIII the winner was Std VIII A while the runner up class was Std VII C. In individual recitation for Lkg and Ukg the winner was Roshni Haripal of class UKG A and runner up was Raksha Ishtiyaque of Lkg A. Shreya Das of Std II B was the winner while Bidya Nag of Std I C was the runner-up. Sanheeta Mukhopadhyay of Std IV C was the winner and runner up was Amna Ali of Std III A. In the contest for Std V and VI the winner was Zeenat Fatima of Std VI C and runner up was Tanush Sengupta of Std V A. In Std VII & VIII the winner was Tanishka Sharma of Std. VIII A the runner up was Adrija Bhatacharjee of Std. VII C. Rituparna Chattaraj, HOD (Senior Wing) and Vandana Mishra HOD (Junior Wing) along with the other teachers of English Department organized the programme.
