He contracted HIV/AIDS in 1997. He receives treatment for his disease from the VA Hospital. He left the United States Navy and went to school at Norfolk University where he attended; he did not graduate from in 1993. Anderson Nichols has been hiding his fatal disease since then and repeatedly puts men and women at risk by having unprotected sex with them.
